The REVOX WORLD FOUNDATION, as stipulated in the notarised deed of foundation in June 2026, aims to acquire, collect, maintain and exhibit mechanical music playback devices, particularly those of the Revox brand, in a museum in the Canton of Zurich or the Zurich area that is accessible to the public and interested parties.

The foundation is managed by an appointed board of trustees with the mission to secure and make accessible the existing world's largest collection of Revox and Studer products. The foundation pursues exclusively charitable purposes.
The former private collection "Studer Revox Museum" with all the Studer and Revox devices of Walter Stutz has now been incorporated into the "REVOX WORLD FOUNDATION" for the purpose of historical preservation. Thus, the entire collection of approx. 800 devices with all numerous documents, folders, photos, measuring instruments and prototypes is now part of this foundation.

Revox World
A new kind of experience center is presented on over 1,000 square meters, combining sound culture, technical innovation, and over 75 years of audio history. Visitors to REVOX WORLD can embark on a journey through time, exploring the milestones of the legendary audio brands Studer and Revox – from 1948 to the present day. From original iconic reel-to-reel tape recorders from the early years, which were also used for broadcasts from the Swiss Parliament and by radio stations and recording studios worldwide, to today's premium audio systems, tape machines, turntables, and loudspeakers that set new standards: The majority of the classic exhibits are in perfect working order – many of them are impressively showcased in live demonstrations.
REVOX WORLD is a special place to preserve and further develop cultural exchange and technical heritage, and to promote education, inspiration, and enthusiasm for music and technology.
