NEW: Audio cassette production exclusively at the Revox Manufactory in Villingen, Germany

Villingen, September 2025 – The American National Audio Company Inc. and the Swiss audio company Revox Group are cooperating for a worldwide premium production of blank cassettes and music cassettes.

The aim of the cooperation is to offer the audio cassette as a sustainable medium for high-quality music playback and music storage in the audio market.

To this end, the two companies are combining their market-leading expertise in decades of successful production of cassette tapes by National Audio and Revox's successful production of audio systems and pre-recorded sound carriers, such as master tapes.

This makes it possible to experience music in analog sound quality with an audio cassette in the living room, just as it was originally recorded in the studio.

A collaboration for premium sound carriers and authentic analog sound

The combination of excellent audio know-how and the highest premium production quality of sound carriers is the unique foundation of this cooperation.

For decades, Revox has stood for first-class audio technology and innovative sound solutions. The cooperation with National Audio now makes it possible to produce another sound carrier, the audio cassette, in addition to master tapes, in order to ensure the highest analog sound quality and offer it to music enthusiasts.

For this purpose, an original cassette tape production line from National Audio will be installed in the Revox Manufactory in Villingen and used there for the production of high-quality audio cassettes.

Through this exclusive cooperation, Revox will become the market-leading provider of blank and music cassettes and the operator of one of the largest cassette production facilities in Europe.

The resulting offering includes its own music portfolio under the REVOX I Horch House brand, as well as the ability to serve labels, publishers, OEM customers, and music groups with high-quality products.

As the sole provider, Revox has three different cassette tape qualities, including a Type II version (chrome compatible), in its product range.

As part of the cooperation with National Audio, Revox will receive all product rights outside North America. And Revox will also be represented in North America with its product range.

The highest manufacturing and sound quality also applies to the new cassette production as the standard for fulfilling the well-known Revox standard

The cassette housing specially manufactured for Revox in Europe, in conjunction with the best currently produced cassette tapes, enables sound experiences that have not been available in mass production for decades.

Attractive music program with a unique variety in all music genres

In cooperation with a major music label, Revox is preparing for market entry in the 4th quarter of this year. This market entry will impressively demonstrate the relevance of the audio cassette as a sound carrier for high-quality music enjoyment. The joint marketing enables quick and short-term availability in all relevant distribution channels.

"The cooperation between National Audio and Revox enables a new variety of music carriers and a new offering for music lovers with an attractive and wide selection for their personal analog music experience," says Revox CEO Christoph Frey.

Steve and Phil Stepp, President & Vice President of National Audio, state in a joint statement: "This collaboration stands for the highest quality awareness and is further clear proof of market leadership in the field of high-quality sound carriers for music storage and playback. The decades of experience of both companies in the audio market are unique."
