Regensdorf/Villingen, December 2020 The Revox Group acquires 100% of the shares in purSonic gmbh, Überlingen - effective January 1, 2021.
purSonic gmbh's parent company, puren gmbh from Überlingen, has continuously built up purSonic over the last 20 years. The technology of the loudspeaker products has been continuously developed into high-quality soundboards with the highest installation quality and flexibility. However, since its foundation, puren's core business has been in high-performance insulation materials and innovative construction materials for the building sector and industrial applications.
The Revox Group, which has focused on high-quality audio solutions for over 70 years, has been an active customer of purSonic gmbh for over 10 years.
With this acquisition, the Revox Group aims to further boost its activities in the multiroom and project business. Christoph Frey, member of the Board of Directors of the Revox Group, will take over the management of purSonic gmbh until further notice. "For many years I have been enthusiastic about the technology and the application possibilities of invisible speakers. We plan to significantly expand our installation business in the coming years. Invisible speakers and other new products will play a central role in this," says Christoph Frey.
Andreas Huther, Managing Director of puren, states: "We have decided to focus our efforts more on our core business. We have built up the purSonic business over 20 years with great enthusiasm, resources, and energy. We are now very pleased that with the Revox Group as the buyer, an experienced audio company will further develop purSonic's business in the future."
puren and Revox have also agreed to collaborate long-term on the further development of the membrane specifically designed for purSonic soundboards.
